If You Want Green Grass, Water the Patch You’re Standing On

What do you see when you look in the mirror? What does the reflection tell you about your life?

Do you see promises fulfilled?
Potential realized?
Beauty?
Blessings?

Or do you see wasted time?
Time spent behind the fences of your comfort zone?
Unfulfilled promises?
Curses?

I don’t know what you see, but I want to invite you to see what God sees. In the story of creation when God dreams of creating humanity he says the following:

“Let us make mankind in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion…” (Genesis 1v26, NRSV)
